About Soleman
Soleman
Krebs began his dance career at the tender age of 4 when his mother
enrolled him in a tap dance class. He began competing at the age of 8
and continued doing tap dancing until age 20. After a recital when he
was 13 years old, his mother came to him in tears, identifying the pride
that she had. Looking around he realized that his dancing made people
happy and at that point decided that dancing was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Shortly after he turned twenty, Soleman became an instructor at the
Fred Astaire Dance Studio. He became certified as a Full Silver level
ballroom dance instructor. While social dancing at the Rush Nightclub,
Soleman saw the most amazing thing ever... a gentleman was dancing to
country music, while suddenly, mid-dance... he began moon walking.
Completely awestruck, Soleman realized that any dance where a person
could moonwalk was a dance that he wanted to do! Soleman ran up to the
Chicago dancer and discovered his new love in life - West Coast Swing!
As a dance
instructor in the Twin Cities since 2003, Soleman loves sharing his
knowledge and love of dance. He teaches dance to be as easy as possible
and finds great joy in seeing his students grow and share his love for
all forms of dancing.
Soleman became an All-Star in the WCS
circuit in 2009 and relocated to Chicago January 2011 where he is the
Swing City Chciago Strictly Swing champion 2 years running.
Soleman teaches private lessons, DJ's and teaches group workshops.
